African Cultural Garden
The Project
The African Cultural Garden will create a working farm created and managed by the diverse African-Australian community in Werribee.
The African Cultural Garden in Werribee is a community-driven initiative designed to serve as a cultural sanctuary and a “home away from home” for the African-Australian diaspora.
By integrating traditional agricultural practices with communal gathering spaces, the project will support migrants and refugees reclaim their connection to the land, preserve ancestral knowledge, and foster emotional well-being through social connection.
